With a reputation for premium confections, the brand caters to everyday chocolate lovers and seasonal gift shoppers, offering gourmet assortments, holiday-themed chocolates, and customizable corporate gifts.
Li-Lac Chocolates lacked a structured email marketing strategy, leading to missed opportunities in customer acquisition and retention. There was no email sign-up capture system in place, resulting in stagnant email list growth. Additionally, the brand lacked automated email flows such as abandoned cart reminders, welcome series, and win-back campaigns, preventing effective customer engagement and revenue generation through email.

To solve these issues, we implemented a structured, data-driven email marketing strategy. We introduced a comprehensive email capture system, including exit-intent pop-ups, timed offers, and persistent sign-up forms across key website areas. We built core automated email flows such as a three-step welcome series, abandoned cart recovery, browse abandonment, and win-back campaigns. These flows were designed to engage customers at crucial touchpoints, ensuring timely and personalized communication.
The introduction of a timed pop-up form offering a free product on the first purchase led to a 669% year-over-year increase in sign-up revenue. The email list grew by 236%, significantly expanding the brand’s reach. The optimized win-back flow resulted in a 32% re-engagement rate, bringing back previously inactive customers. Overall, revenue generated from automated email flows saw a 336% increase. These improvements turned Li-Lac Chocolates’ email program into a high-performing revenue channel.
